Sigma Xi Distinguished Lecture, Dr. Michael Mann, The Madhouse Effect: How Climate Change Denial is Threatening our Planet, Destroying our Politics, and Driving us Crazy. 

Michael Mann is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Meteorology and Director of the Earth System Science Center at Penn State.  He is well known for his famous “hockey stick” diagram of warming temperatures during the past 2000 years and has been at the forefront of the science and politics of global warming.  He will talk about the role of climate change denial in our current politics.
