Each year, about 3 million older adults are treated in emergency departments for a fall injury. One of every five of those people is seriously hurt, many with broken bones or a head injury.
Lehigh Valley Health Network Rehabilitation Services and Lehigh Valley Physician Group Geriatric Medicine want you to decrease your risk of falling.
The fall risk and prevention program, “I’m Still Standing,” aims to educate you about dangerous situations and how to prevent them.
Physical therapists will be available to conduct balance screenings to see if you may benefit from a more in-depth assessment.
